How to fix a Leak Alert
A solid yellow LED light above the leak symbol will turn on, with two beeps repeating every 15 seconds
- Ensure the canister is securely locked onto the therapy unit. When the canister is installed, a distinct click will be heard. This can also be confirmed by ensuring the canister tab is pressed up and secured. Check that tubing is adhered to the canister.
- Check tubing connectors to ensure they are fully engaged and locked.
- Press firmly all the way around dressing edges to ensure a seal.
- Use finger to smooth out any crease or wrinkles. Creases in the dressing can cause an air leak and the pump to alarm.
- Use the extra drape, located in the dressing package, to help seal leaks. Place the drape half on the dressing and half on the skin. This will allow you to help seal the air leak. When the dressing is properly sealed it will appear wrinkled and compressed.
